Calculus Limits, How do I solve, no answers please!?

Let f(x) = { x^(2) -a^(2)x if x < 2,

4-2x^(2) if x greater than or equal to 2

(a) find the limit as f(x) approaches 2 from the left

(b) find the limit as f(x) approaches 2 from the right

(c) Find all values of a that make f continuous at 2. Justify your answer.

I'm not looking for the answers. I just need to know what I need to do to find the answers. This is an AP test review packet, so I need to know how to do this. Thanks!

    a) lim as x approaches 2 from left: 4-2a^(2)

    b)lim as x approaches 2 from right: 4-2x^(2)= 4-8= -4

    c) now you should find a by setting the equations equal to eachother which is

    4-2a^(2)=-4

    a^2=4

    a=+/-2

    and i beleive you shoild choose +2 in order to make f continous at 2
