To wholeheartedly believe one or two internet strangers is foolish, especially if it's an important question.
EX. When asking what temp my woma python should be kept at, I got answers varying from 80-110 degrees. Who am I supposed to believe?
If it's an opinion poll then they want to get more than a few people to make sure that the majority feels a certain way.
EX. When asking an opinion poll, I inserted a joke answer that wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. Of course everyone picked it so I had to reask it without the joke.
EX If it's a school project and you need to poll people then you need large numbers, more than the first few answerers.
I ask again when I get mixed answers and I don't know who's correct. I usually revise some details to make it more clear or avoid certain comments.
Source(s): Kinda obvious...If I get the answer I need on the first try then there's no need. This site stinks though so more often than not I'm going to get a bunch of trolls. if you've seen the question before then just don't click on it again - it's as simple as that. Chances are if you answered the first one and they're still asking then your answer wasn't good enough or they didn't like it. Answering again isn't going to help anyone so don't waste time. - ?Lv 71 decade ago
Because they don't really want to hear the truth ... their minds are already made up and what they WANT is validation.
So, they'll keep asking the same question until someone agrees.

They are going to continue asking the same question until they get exactly the answer they want to read.
