Another question about Ick on my goldfish?
I have 5 goldfish and 2 plecos with ick. I have been treating them for about 2 weeks now. First I was using Ick Away, but stopped using it and started using Ick Super Cure from API. This was about 4 days ago. The first fish that showed signs seem to be clearing up some, but the others are showing more white spots now...even after the treatments. They all hang out at the bottom of the tank, as well. I was wondering what is the best direction to go now. I plan on starting another treatment but I am starting to lose hope as they are all hanging at the bottom of the tank. They are all still eating well, though. Any advice? Oh I have them in a 55 gal tank. I have raised the temp in the tank to about 78 degrees, as well.

Are you also doing water changes? When the Ick drops off the fish and drop to multiply it is free swimming in the water so the water changes help speed the healing. Also adding some aquarium salt will help your fish to heal.
Good luck

Don't use ice away or any of that stuff lust make sure you have a heater and buy some aquarium salt and a tube cleaner if that doesn't work in a week get a bowl big enough to fit all of them then add some salt to the bowl with hot water but. Not to hot just enough for the salt to desolve and the water to be around the same degrees as your tank leave a fish Ian there for about a minute or two and you should be all set

I think it would be a good idea to lower the temperature for the goldfish. Goldfish should be in a cold hospital tank while plecos should be in a hospital tank of 80F. If one's signs are clearing up, quickly move him out so he doesn't get infected again. Keep treating them and do 50% daily water changes for a week.
