Joplin: The Entertainer?

In UK this piece is approx grade 6/7 standard. I'm sure there are MANY arrangements of this work. I am looking for a Piano arrgt (for a pupil) of about gr 5 standard. i.e. probably mostly the same but without all the hopping around in the LH. Does anyone know of such a version? Please give publisher & book title!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a great deal of the appeal of Ragtime the stride pattern in the bass? The chord structure of The Entertainer is simple enough that writing in block chords could make the tune accessible to very early students.

... but it would lose much of its appeal.

Rather I'd work with the student longer and work on the piece as Scott Joplin wrote it but break it down into sections.

(... and you've given me another sheet to pull out of my file cabinet and relearn.)
