He asked me out, but i don't see us as more than friends? HELP?

Well hes my friend, and we talk on facebook, but that's about it, he always tells me that he has suicidal thoughts, and that hes attempted several times. I always tell him that he is amazing and a great person. We don't know each other that well, but he just asked me out (via facebook lol) and i don't see him as being my boyfriend. I would hate if this drove him to something bad.... What should I do??????

** I have never had a boyfriend, hes had a girlfriend, as far as i know.

    Just tell him the feelings aren't mutual you care about him but not in that way.An i hope he doesn't take this the wrong way he's got alot worth living for make him see that.

    I agree with both of the answers above let him down easy and make sure he knows that you stilt think he is a great guy and that he has a lot to live for

    DON'T DATE HIM! He's using the suicidal thing to reel you in! Date someone because you like them, not because u feel sorry for them!

    Maybe he even told you all that so when he asked you out you would be compelled to say yes.
