How can I start my own paranormal investigation team?

I have my own team. You need a website clearly explaining who you are, and what your team goals are. experience and back ground.

I laptop is a plus, a digital camera and/or digital video camera, a digital voice recorder, good for EVPs and interviews. And a bog dose of common sense. I won't tell you how to run your team, but I suggest coming at everything as a skeptic and let the proof work for itself.

First and foremost, you better make sure you all know what you're getting into. I would recommend you find someone who is a clergy-type or a medium of some sort. I can't tell you how many times I've heard about a group of dumb kids messing around with things they shouldn't and can't handle and end up paying for it. I would suggest your group create your website, and as a group participate in community projects to build trust with the locals. My group and I are part of the local Historical society. Also image is important, don't show up to your first investigation looking like extras from a Marilyn Manson video, show up in clothes that say "We're professional"- even if that means getting matching t-shirts from a site like zazzle.com. As far as equipment goes, any digital camera and voice recorder will do, after all you won't have a big TV channel to buy all the expensive gear the guys on tv have. Just remember to be respectfull of the dead and the homeowners.
