This wasn't a question... but you're right. The Tigers aren't going to dump Cabrera.
But they should hire him a driver. Or at least teach him how to call a taxi. That way he can drink all he wants. As long as he doesn't get behind the wheel it's all good!

yeah i heard about this on the radio this morning. He came to the game saturday with scratches all over his face, and the tigers nor he would explain what happened. Meanwhile he's in the lineup through all of this, and he goes 0-4 with a strikeout and 6 runners left on base. So it did effect his play on the field. Yesterday tigers won but he was poor again 0-3, and he missed an opportunity in the ninth inning to close out the game with a double play(foot came off the bag). I doubt if his recent poor play is just a coincidence. I just hope he gets it together by tuesday, cuz tigers gonna need a lot of offense to beat twins. I predict a 8-6 score, hopefully tigers are the ones with 8.

The Tigers dump Cabrera? Who is the moron talking about this? You do not dump a legitimate triple crown candidate. Cabrera is easily a .300 hitter that will hit for 35 HR and 120 RBI. The Tigers can't afford to dump him.

It's how speculation goes, media would even use it so they can receive more attention. The only way the Tigers would dump him is if they fell off the contention rapidly in the first half of the season and wanted to have a salary dump.
If they do get rid of him, there's no way they would drop a player of his caliber without getting something in return.

So many great athletes have had alcohol and drug problems, but few have been released for those issues. Look at Josh Hamilton. The Rangers will not give up on him and the Reds never did either. He may cost 20 million dollars, but his production is too good to give up, no matter his reputation. There is little to no chance that the Tigers will release him. Even trading him is unlikely.

Oh we will keep him!! All the Tiger "fans" who keep saying trade him need to be smacked!! They obviously don't keep up with the Tigers if they want him to be traded!!

Honestly He HAD DUMPED himself form the team.
They just might, after the court date.
He can get even get deported and his visa and passport stripped.
an possiblee suspension form MLB as well.
And even if he comes back to play this season. I say it will be at least after the all break.

no. even if he is caught again and 100 game suspension, they wont dump him. hes a good young hitter, cheap compared to pujols, texeria, gonzalez.

Don't worry, They'll definitely keep him. He's their best player by far, and a perennial all-star.
