how many gw deniers are creationists as well?
the argument seems very similar to me creationists will pick one isolated issue and try and use it to argue against evolution much the same as the gwd's do with say one miss print or wrongly recorded info and forget about the big picture

While the tactics used are actually quite similar. I don't think many of the deniers (at least on this forum) are creationist. They're mostly just people who dislike democrats and democratic policies.
A couple of them are actually pretty smart too, they just allow their politics to overpower evidence.

Some overlap, no doubt (even more with Holocaus denial), but the stakes and motives are different. Bibles or "Creation Science" craptextbooks are not energy feedstocks supplied by the worlds largest corporations. If high school kids in Kansas drop to the bottom of the developed world in knowledge of biological sciences it does not wreck many ecosystems on the planet for the next thousand years.
