Have i Killed my CG125?

Basically i have been riding this thing since august and i was stupid enough never to check the oil, now a couple of days ago the bike started jumping a bit on the pull-away, i had no idea why, then yesterday there was a slight rattle which made me think that i should do something about the oil but i couldn't get my hands on any 4 stroke oil, so i kept riding like a numb-nuts and the little rattling turned into a big rhythmic clatter that would keep in time with the engine revs, then i really thought i had finished the poor thing off when i couldn't get up a hill that normally my bike has no problem with, i could barely hit 40mph with full throttle! i then left the bike at my mates house as he knows more about bikes than i do and he is going to look it over for me but he wont be able to get back to me for a couple of days so really all i want to know is if its dead and if not roughly how much would it be to repair? Its a 2001 Honda CG125. Thanks in advance.

Update:

Thanks for the advice guys, i know its my fault, i have put new oil in and the pull-away is sorted, there is no engine squeak at all and the rattle has quietened down a lot! the power hasnt exactly returned but from what i've gathered (i havent ridden it much yet) its still a lot better. I'm buying a replacement engine soon, thats the obvious thing to do really but could i have a verdict on how long it might last now? Thanks again

Umm, yep basically you have killed it. Even if you fill it with oil, the engine sounds like it has suffered terminal damage.

It sounds terminal – a replacement engine from a breaker is probably going to be cheaper to repair.

But the pulling away problem sounds more clutch than engine so have your mate have a look at the condition of the clutch.

    EDIT:

Whatever you do don’t put too much oil in – that is as bad as running it with none.

sounds like its going to die soon, its a shame those engines are bombproof and never break, but no oil is like no blood in your body
