Why do you have a firewire modem?

Most modems are Ethernet, a few are USB, I've never seen a firewire model.

In any case to connect multiple computers, you need a Ethernet model.

You'll need to use a router to connect two or more computers to a broadband DSL or cable modem.

Connect the modem to the router's WAN port, then connect the computers to the LAN ports on the router via Ethernet cables. If you buy a wireless model you can also set up wireless Internet connections.

    Good Luck
