Can I claim my college student living at home as a dependent when she had a part time job last year?
and made $2250.00- a mere fraction of what it cost her Dad and I to support her. Do we count her income along with ours? Or does she have to file separately even though we are claiming her?

Absolutely she is a dependent. No you do not count her income. She would be considered exempt. Most kids do not bother to file, but technically she should. I would not affect your return as you obviously are paying her expenses.

in case your mum and dad claimed you as a based on their taxes, you're a based. in the event that they did not, you at the instant are not. So, in case you go with for finished pupil loans and economic help, in case you claimed your self as an self reliant, then you definately can qualify for the great quantity. If not, nicely, you're screwed.
