Hand Tattoos and Jobs?
Do you have a hand tattoo? Even if you don't do you think it can effect getting a job/what type of job you can get?

I have tattoos on my hands, and all over, but then again I own a tattoo shop so it doesn't affect my job search. But, yes, it has a massive affect on getting a job which is why I refuse to tattoo hands and necks or usually make them pay extra. It's not a very thought out decision. Arms and wrists are no issue because you can wear long sleeved shirts, but hands are a problem. It doesn't matter what it says, it's more for the public image of the business/company you're representing. Of course, I find it to be very discriminating.

I have a tattoo on the top of my wrist and have always been asked to cover it, even though it is not offensive. Having one on your hand would definitely make attaining jobs more difficult since you really can't cover it. Though I think over time tattoos will become more accepted in the workplace...lets hope!
