Boyfriend downloading sketchy photos, computer help?

Basically, I found some questionable photos from a chick in my boyfriend's download list. It said they were downloaded sometime in March and February of 2010. He had also been moving files around from his laptop to his hard drive, and claims that he didn't even know he had those.

What I want to know is this: when you transfer files to and from a hard drive, does it show up as a download?

Please, no stupid answers. You know who you are.

assuming the "download list" you're referring to is one from your web browser, and these photos show up under said download list, then they were downloaded straight off the internet. Having said that, the only form of file transfer (in CPU terms of course) that i can think of that would leave a download footprint would be, uploading said files to the internet, then downloading them.

the specific form in which he transfered his files would most likely effect the answer to your question.

    Generally no.
