i love metal but my girlfriend wants me to stop listening to it. what sould i do?

tell her to f*** off. metal is the best thing that has happened to the music industry.

Get you a new girlfriend. Seriously. This chick is trying to change you and forbid you from enjoying the things you enjoy. I know if you did the same thing to her and forbid her from listening to her favorite bands or types of music, she would kick you to the curb. If you are a man of confidence, then you know there is no chick cute enough where you radically change who you are as a person to get with and stay with. If you like metal, then go find a chick who likes metal too.

If you like metal, then listen to it. If your girlfriend is trying to tell you to stop listening to the music you like, maybe you should talk to her, ask her how she would feel if you told her to stop listening to HER music.

Never let your girl control you, you need to have understandings with each other, compromises are fine, but things like that are borderline control issues, and will end in resentment, however trivial they may seem.

Keep listening to the metal, it will lighten your soul :]

Excuse me yet I extremely have a very good existence, married, infant and an entire time activity and that i admire listening to new metallic! The older i'm getting the extra i like it! i admire previous metallic and new metallic, my daughter has became me directly to multiple bands. She is 14 and we bypass to stay shows mutually. final instruct we've been in the front row in the pit, I had a blast. i'm 40 9!!!!!

you never change who you are for someone. because later on in the relationship, they look back and say "Oh i miss who we were!" And in the beginning, you fight the least. She should accept the kind of music you like. And you two should common music to listen to in the car. It's called compromising. Bend a little, don't break. One change leads to another. She likes you for who you are, don't become someone else.

music can be a huge conflicting force sometimes. she should accept the fact that you listen to it, but perhaps only listen to it yourself. I would not appreciate someone telling me to stop listening to any genre AT ALL.

Find a GF that likes metal, you can't change who you are, but you can change who you date.
