what is a good camera to buy?

i am looking to buy a camera, maybe 1 like a fujifilm funpix s1600. one like this would be ideal, but i was hoping maybe someone could point me in the right direction of a better 1 or 1 they have had good experiances with. I am looking to spend between £100-£150. I want 1 that has the so-called "mod-cons".I dont really know much about them to be honest so hopefully you can help.

Since you don't need a real camera with manual controls, that camera suits you fine.

You can consider Fujifilm FinePix S1600 Digital Camera (12MP, 15x Wide Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD

12 Megapixel camera with 3 inch LCD,15 x optical zoom and 28mm wide angle lens

Dual Image Stabilisation with up to ISO 6400

    Scene Recognition Auto

Multi modes including Target Auto Focus, Instant Zoom, Panorama Mode, continuous shooting, manual photographic controls

Intelligent Face Detection with red-eye removal, high-speed shooting, best framing and histogram display

U can but either an slr or a point and shoot. For the SLR, panasonic and kodak are good. For point and shoots, the coolpix ones are great.
