Air Force recruiter will not answer?

I'm in the Air Force DEP still waiting for a job. I've been in the DEP for 5 months now. My recruiter would call me when a job opened but all of them not being one of the 8 i picked. But now, for the past week or so i have been trying to contact my recruiter but he dosen't appear nor answer. When i call him his phone either sends me directly to his voicemail without ringing, or it just rigns forever. I text him and no reply. I call the office and no answer. I shiwed up in his office more than what i can remember and he's not there. One day i showed up in his office every hour and he never showed up. THEN i visited all and called all other air force offices and no answer from anyone! I've been looking for my recruiter but no sign of him anywhere and when i try other recruiters, it's the same story!

What else can i do to know what happened, or why he dosen't show up, nor answer, and why any other recruiter is not there either. How can i contact the chief? What can i do?

Update:

@ jake no he's not an officer recruiter because i once step in to his office and another guy was talking to him about becoming an officer and my recruiter sent him with someone else and told him that that other recruiter dealt with officer.

@ MIke look man your hasty generalisation dosen't let you know that your argument is brainless. Basically the fallacie that you just made is just because the #1 in McDonals' menu does not taste good, therefore all of Mcdonals doesn't taste good. It's is pontless. So this is for you, as well as all of you that dare to dispute any military personnel, these women and men put themselves in the frontline and most importantly work for the govt., which is a demanding and sometimes ruthless situation, just so that all Americans can enjoy having a democracy and have their freedom of speech, religion, etc. So show some courtesy for them because i bet you wouldn't even have the balls to enlist.

Maybe he is on leave or TDY. Wait a week and try back then. Recruiters like to enjoy their vacations too. It is less likely that he is ignoring you and more likely that he just simply isn't around this week/last week or whenever it is you are referring to. Have some patience.

The problem is that you were diagnosed and treated for depression by an actual doctor. Frankly the military doesn't care what you think. They will take the word of a doctor over you. Depression and other mental illness is a permanent disqualifier. It is possible to get waivers for permanent disqualifiers though. Each case is judged independently. They measure the degree of the injury/illness the likelihood it will come back, how much it affects you, if it would be stimulated by training or deployment, how likely it is to and to what degree it will affect the people you are serving with, and how qualified you are to serve other wise (perfect score on your asvab, 4.0, etc) The likelihood for a waiver right now when the military is cutting back is not good. You have to have a pretty sure thing (like a waiver for PRK for a 4.0 engineer). I also don't know what the likelihood is for a waiver for depression in general. You should call a recruiter on the phone or get online and use the live chat on the Air Force website. EDIT. @Tabitha is right. The military can only look into the medical history that you give them. And there is a lot of leeway when it comes to the way you answer questions. You answer them ONLY as they are asked without volunteering any other info. For example you were treated for asthma until you were 11 1/2. When asked if you had asthma past your 12th birthday you say "No". You don't give them any information that they don't specifically ask for. If you lie about something though it can come back to bite you. (And I do think I remember that the question reads "have you ever been diagnosed with or treated for depression but don't take my word for it). No they can't look into your medical records unless you let them but depending on the security clearance you need they can demand that you release your records or not get the clearance. If you don't get a clearance you don't get the job. If you don't get the job they may boot you out if they don't have room for you somewhere else. Plus if you get caught in a lie it is a fraudulent enlistment and that carries a dishonorable discharge, fines and possibly jail time.

Well sometimes it takes a while to get the job you want. With everyone beating down the door especially for the AF they are kind of backed up for the moment and I have heard of folks waiting just shy of almost their whole year in DEP to get off to Basic. Now when my daughter joined about three years ago same thing happened but as much as I hate to tel you this, I had her call the recruiting office that the local recruiter reported to or sort of like went above the head of her recruiter in the chain of command and believe me, we got his attention the very next day. So here is a link to ask a question to AF Recruiting command and if you want a response, put as much info into the question as possible as in I'm in the DEP, my recruiter is Sgt. so and so, I can't get an answer or contact him or her so I'm asking here. I would put a lot of money down that within 48 hours, your recruiter is going to come find you. Now again I hate doing this and if I was the recruiter it would piss me off but after 21 years in the military it wouldn't have been the first or the last time :)

Here is the link and good luck

Is your recruiter also an officer recruiter at all? The deadline to submit officer applications is this week. I know some recruiters are traveling to other area in their zone to conduct officer interviews and may be out of their office for a few days.

My recruiter stopped talking to me right after I signed away. This was for the army. Im now trying to get out before I leave for basic. I found out he straight up lied to me just to get me in, and im stuck with a shitty job if I cant get out. They always argued in the office with each other and stuff. Im now trying to get into the marines. Which is funny because the marines office is right down the hall from the army's.

bet he's on leave...i'd just leave a message for him and wait for a return call. take it easy and be patient. like the other member mentioned, some depr's wait almost a year for a ship date. in due time

Your not even in the military officially yet and the bs is already starting... Is this what you want to deal with for 4 or 8 years?? Better think about dropping out of dep or if this is what you really want to do
