Should I take Vicodin if I'm in no pain at the moment just to go to bed?
I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out this morning. I took 1 pill of vicodin around 12 pm. It started bothering me again around 4 and took 2 advil instead since i didn't consider the pain to be that severe. I'm ready to go to bed now and just wondering whether I should take a Vicodin or not. I just don't want to take a powerful painkiller if i don't have severe pain. What do you think?

Definitely take your pain killers if this is your first night, once the drugs wear off you'll need it.

Yikes - 4 teeth. You must have had a really easy time with those. Lucky girl. Take the Vicodin anyway the first couple days. Don't let that pain get overwhelming. You have big holes ripped in your jaw bone!!! No kidding. Pulling teeth is serious business.
Obviously don't smoke.

First, I would look at the bottle and see what the recommended amount is for one day, especially if you mix it with advil. Secondly, I would take it because you're bound to wake up in the middle of the night from the pain anyways so why not just get a good night sleep?

Have a glass of water and pain relief close in case you need it overnight but don't take it "just in case"
I woke up the next day with no pain after not taking anything at bedtime.

maybe take half a vicodin? that way if it starts hurting while your sleeping youll have some painkiller in you already
