Can i use a wireless network adapter for online on ps3?
I know you cant install it on a ps3 but what about a desktop computer. Could i get a connection from there? or improve the signal? The router is downstairs and my ps3 is upstairs, the signal dropped to 57% cause theres too much devices using the wireless rourter. Would this help in anyway?
I Know psn is free and has built in wifi but theres 3 ps3 systems and a laptop using the wireless. Would i be able to install a network adapter on the computer for another access point or improve the the signal strength? The router cant cope. Dont have a ethernet cable long enough to connect to the downstairs router and thats the only one also cant have more than 1 router in the house which doesn't work. So frustrating.

You don't need it. What you need is a more powerful ariel for your wireless router. You can pick these up at any decent computer shop. Just remember this will also increase the range, so make sure your network is secure.

If you want to make your connection stronger you could use a ethernet cable, which you plug into your wireless router and the other end into your PS3. I've done this with mine because my router had very poor signal.

The PS3 internet IS free which means you dont need an additional adapter because the PS3 has an inbuilt one. For the signal I do nbot think that the adapter will make a difference....
Just stick with the inbuilt one.

Yes you can just plug in your wireless adapter if you have a cord into your ps3 and start playing online
