The Lord of the Rings: 7 rings given to the dwarfs?

The 9 kings fell into ruin, the 3 elves where able to resist the power of the one ring, but did J R R Tolkien ever say what happened to the 7 dwarfs that got rings?

    Not in so many words because, apart from the Durin and his successors in Khazad-dum, we do not who the other Dwarf lords were. We know that Sauron recovered three of them ( the last being taken from Thrain, son of Thror and father of Thorin II by torment in Dol Guldur). The other four Dwarf rings were supposed to have been consumed by dragons.

    isn't that something? he doesn't say much about the seven fathers of the dwarves either. it makes his world that much more beautiful though.
