Can I put a silicone ice cube tray into the oven?
I have an ice cube tray that instead of being square has donut shapes to create donut ice cubes. Could I put it in the oven to create little donut cakes?
It is an ikea one if that makes any difference

yes. u can. put it on a cookie sheet so its easier to take out when its done.
lots of baking pans are made out of silicone these days.
"1. Wash the silicone pan in warm water and soap prior to use. Dry thoroughly and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
•2
Pour your batter, filling each well 1/2 to 3/4 full. Place the silicone pan in the oven on a baking sheet or wire rack. Bake the recipe as directed.
•3
Remove the pan from the oven and place it on a cooling rack. Let it sit for a minute or two. Turn the silicone pan on its side and tap it against the wire rack so the baked goods fall out of the pan.
•4
Release any baked goods that didn't come out of the pan by turning the pan over and gently pressing the center of the back of each cup with your thumbs.
•5
You can use these pans to make ice cubes or popsicles in the freezer. Pour the juice into the wells and add a popsicle stick to each one. Let them freeze and remove the cubes or popsicles using the same release method as described above.

Yes, it should work fine as a lot of bakeware made from silicone. Won't vouch for the outcome though. I have reservations about using plastic looking material in the oven.

i don't know- but i would think that all silicone would be the same i would try it first by putting water in it and put it in the oven on 350 degree and watch it close if it starts to change in any way take it out.

there is no one all encompassing answer. depends on the specific utensil. you have to check the embossed print on it and see if it's heat resistant or not.
if it doesn't say anything, i wouldn't risk poisoning my family/guests
