They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Since your question is about Collective Bargaining I will go out on a limb and assume it concerns the situation in Wisconsin.

The Governor has stated he will not negotiate or back down. Many see this as an attack on Unions. It may be.

I personally see this more as an attack on the right to bargain for pay, benefits and treatment.

Who benefits from ppl losing those rights? Big Business and the Government.

Why would anyone not a part of either of those be willing to give up any rights?

This is about pl having the right to try to take care of themselves and their families.

It is about your rights in general.

Each time you willingly give up some rights you lose the ability to protect the next right someone in power decides you no longer need or deserve.

Is obvious that when republican are in office is the public service who needs unions the most. Look how they think they can from one day to the next take their money...
