Ponting is let off lightly by the ICC?

He was found to have breached clause 2.1.2 but let off by level 1 charge only. Why? why is ICC soft again with some countries? He do not have good track record with ICC code of conduct and still he was let off lightly?

Update:

bingalee.... Agree with you. I dont aergue about it but 2 wrongs dont make one right.

Update 2:

Random.... so what you suggest? Indian media should not report wrong doing of Aussies? And it was cricket board who file complaint. Not media.....

He will be fined 50% of the match fee. But considering the fact that he is a 'history sheet-er' of bad behavior and misdemeanor, the punishment is too insignificant.

Go have a cry. The only reason anything came out of it was because the INDIAN media tried to make out that he did something he didn't do.

I am suggesting that the media report the facts like they are supposed to do, not blow it way out of the water like they did.

Don't you think what Harbhajan did was much worse than what Ponting allegedly did? and yet he got off because BCCI threatened to pull India out of Australia. How soon you people forget these things.

Ill gladly see Ponting fined the day that Tendulkar is banned for ball tampering.
