Upper groin pain. Help?

I recently found a small lump on the left side of my groin. I ignored it and I think it has gone away somewhat, however recently I started having sharp pains near my upper right groin area. It isn't a pulled groin or anything involving athletic activity. It's more sharp pain right under the skin I think. It happens a few times a day and while it isn't excruciating, it is painful. Any ideas what it could be?

I believe you may have a hernia my friend. I would recommend you go to the doctor and get it checked out. You will be in luck if it is just a hernia, but that is what I believe it to be. I had one about 4 years back and it was the same thing. If I remember correctly the surgery only keeps you from doing vigorous activity for a month.
