when do rainbow baby Lorikeets start talking?
I have a baby lorikeet it is about 4 weeks old. I want to know when they actually start talking instead of squawking !!!!

Rainbow Lorikeets and most other Lory species can start talking at 3 months. Some take longer. And of course, will get better with age.
Lories will pick up words regularly used very easily. They have a gruffer voice, but they do talk well. They imitate other sounds too. Hopefully you have a pleasant ringtone for your phone. lol
One trick for talking is giving your lory something or someone new to talk to. A new toy, new person, new anything tends to bring out some chatter from the lory.
