Italian proverb: At the end of the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box?

I'm doing a speech on this quote. What my question is concerning is how do these proverbs come about? (Especially this one) How can I find a specific author or time period on when this quote was first stated? Any information on these questions or any opinions on how it may relate to life would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Some of the main quote webs will tell you the year and history behind the quote. Check those first. I would put in the search bar some words such as: "trivia questions on quotes", "origin of quotes", "Italian Proverbs". AND, of course, put the whole quote in quotation marks. If I find anything further, I will edit for you.

Edit: I typed the quote in search and found a few links. This one I like because it expresses feelings I had when I read it. It is a blog:

So, what I get out of this is, weather you are considered a "great" one or a poorly person in life, at the end of the day, you grow old, and eventually die. Wise King Solomon spoke about this saying: "I have seen servants riding horses, and princes walking the earth, just like servants". And these two proverbs remind me of several scriptures in the bible that speaks of the injustices we experience here on earth. However, things will not always be this way, for we do have a future of living forever on earth growing to perfection. Ps 37:10, 11; 2 Peter 3:13
