Which version of iMovie do you have?
You can do slow motion in the old iMovie HD and in iMovie 09 and 11 but not in iMovie 08.
Use iMovie Help for more info.

Okay, here's what to do. I'm not sure how familiar you are with iMovie, so I will go through all of the steps.
First, you need to import you video. file-import-then select the videos
Second, create a new project
Third, select the clip you want to slow down and drag it to the timeline
Fourth, double click on the timeline clip and in the little box that pops up, click "convert entire clip". Once you do this you can change the speed.
Hope this helps!!

Down load realplayer since it has an addon to down load youtube movies. Down load the video off of youtube and then play it in actual participant and that you would be able to play in sluggish movement.

Use the VLC Player for slower playback. (It even compensates for the pitch change of human voices, so it (almost) sounds like they really speak slower ...) Choose Playback –> Slower, etc.
