I have a weird horrible taste at the back of my throat what is it?

It could be 'post-nasal' drainage from your nose or a sinus infection. A bad taste can also come from the lungs... follow your mom's advice since she's been having it too.

er why did you mix so many things together? just take what you're supposed to take and try not to eat too many carbohydrates cause like the atkins diet you're gonna get the taste and smell of old cabbage and sweaty socks in your mouth from not getting food from all the parts of the food pyramid. eat some fresh fruit and veg, a few apples and orages should make you feel better if nothing else. i dont think one cigarette caused this so relax about that, although they do give you horrible breath if youre a smoker. so go easy on your mix of tablets and stuff (herbal stuff can really stink) go brush your teeth and use a strong mouthwash (aniseed or similar) and chew sugarfree gum (its good for your teeth). and if it doesnt clear you probably have something that needs to be seen by a doctor or someone. good luck

Well, if it is sour and comes up into your throat and mouth a little bit, it means you need to drink some more water. A sour liquid in your body like that isn't that good. I only know this kind, and if this dosen't work, maybe consult a doctor to see what's happening. Maybe it is something simple and can cure with household items. Hope I Helped!

Maybe you have a couple of good-sized "sneeze nuggets" sitting on your tonsils. They apparently smell bad and maybe they can be tasted as well (don't know, tonsils gone for a long time).

if you have little white lumps appearing that you have to spit out, then it's tonsiloliths

or tonsil stones, its common, use a strong antibacterial mouthwash.

it must be saliva or some other thing that you two have ate.
