can a bad credit account re-apear after ih has been taken off for no apparent reason?

I had a debt from verizon back in 2006 and i started getting calls from a collection agency. i told them not to call me back but they still have been. i checked my credit and there is no sign of verizon on my credit. what could have happened? and whatever did happen can they put the dergatory mark back on my credit?

    What state are you in.

    In some states items drop off your credit reports in less than 7 1/2 years.

    Ex: Texas is 4.

    Did you dispte the item just recently???

    They didnt put on there in the first place so it can show up at any point. Check with the other two banks to make sure that they are not reporting it.

    Well sometime companies do tease their old clients but you don't have to worry if your bad credit are cleared. Talk to your bank may they help you with it.
