How do you get heirloom items in WoW?

I am relatively new to WoW and just got my mage to lvl 80 and was wondering how you get heirloom items.

    Heirlooms are bought from either Dalaran or Icecrown for PvE players with Justice Points or Champion Seals; or Wintergrasp for PvP players with Honor Points.
