It is late february and I saw 2 male whitetail (bucks) with antlers do some bucks not shed and why?

I am originally from PA and now NC I have never seen this this late in the year and am Curious as to if and why

    All White-Tail bucks shed their antlers after the breeding season. The shedding season tends to be january-february, so I'm guessing the deer near you bred slightly later and therefore haven't lost their antlers quite yet. Rest assured, they will be falling off very soon if not already.
