Write a great essay and this stuff stops mattering. On admission to UPenn, I had zero extracurriculars, 2.91 GPA, 35 ACT and a well written essay. Try retaking the ACT, doing each section backwards and answering EVERY question, even if you must guess (you never really guess, you have intuition :D) and things will work out for you.

Write about something outlandish. I doubt anyone will write about my topic in the next 50 years.

Even though you have a 28 ACT, a 2.8 will not cut it for Syracuse, BU, or UVM..Sorry. UNH will be your best bet. I know UVM hardly ever accepts students with a sub 3.0 gpa :( Try making it a 3.1< and I think all could be a possibility.

    Syracuse University:

Looking at your test scores, you can. Your GPA is pretty low however..so I'm not completely sure. If you have strong extracurriculars, you definitely can.

    Admittance Rate: 50.6%

    Average SAT: 1570-1900

    Average ACT: 23-28

    UNH:

You can definitely get in EASILY!

    Admittance Rate: 72%

    Average SAT: 1030-1240

    Average ACT: 21-26

    UVM:

    Admittance Rate: 71%

    Average SAT: 1630-1920

    Average ACT: 24-28

    BU:

It's a little bit harder than the last two..but I'm pretty sure you can get in.

    Admittance Rate: 54%

    Average SAT: 1770-2040

    Average ACT: 25-30

    Hope this helped!

that should be a hard call. i think of it may count on what your extracurricular activities are (tremendously your community provider) and in case you have had kinfolk contributors flow there in the previous. in case you get popular you probable would not be on your selected application suitable away.
