copyright question on business cards?

I want to use an image of Bill Murray on my business card(because he's awesome)...I'm an artist, and it's a personal business card....I guess my question is, would I need his permission?...and if i don't have his permission, and do it anyway, would that be copyright infringement?....and could I get in trouble?

you can't do that and it would make no sense and certainly wouldn't help your business - Trademark Violation - not copyright violation

If you use an image created by someone else, without permission, then YES that would be copyright infringement and you could be sued by the copyright owner, if not also charged for criminal use.

Your bigger worry might be the violation of a celebrity's personal and exclusive right to commercial use of his image or likeness.

Finally, if Mr Murray has a business that provides any goods or services, and your use of his image is likely to cause confusion within the marketplace, then that would be a trademark infringement. It would also be a trademark dilution if his image is "sufficiently famous" that your use of it would be viewed as an unauthorized misrepresentation of some affiliation with him or his company.

Yes, you could get in trouble, unless you get permission for each and every issue stated above.

Making corporation enjoying cards in itself isn't copyright infringement. utilising copyrighted photos or text textile could be copyright infringement, in spite of the undeniable fact that. there are a lot of places the place you need to purchase corporation enjoying cards without violating copyright, or you could layout your guy or woman.
