Ramadan~Why do most people hate the truth?
AAslaam Alikum people, hope everyone is in the best of health inshAllah
Couple weeks ago, i wrote an article regarding immodesty on my university campus. I didn't mention anyone's name or generalize, i was just saying the truth. Some People were criticizing me and some even told me that i damaged my university's reputation. They know the truth, but why are they soo afraid to say it? Truth will come out one day, falsehood is bound to perish.
I mean, why are we soo occupied with this world? Less people stick to truth and more to falsehood. Even my Arabic teacher, i was amazed at his lecture today. He was saying that when you work in an PR or Advertising agency, do not use the term "Halam or haram", just think of your agency's reputation and keep your mouth shut. He doesn't like it when we talk back, we're like nooo, we should speak the truth that's what Islam teaches. What's happening to this Ummah? We are the best ummah, we should be enjoining good and forbidding what Allah hates.But in my pathetic society, most people only care about reputation and status, we have discarded the teachings of prophet. Some people don't even like talking about Islam nowadays. Ya Rabbi, the day of judgement is approaching and Ummath Muahmmed is getting weaker and weaker :( ..
What are your thoughts Ramadanians, did you notice something similar?
Forgot to put: Prophet [Peace and blessings be upon him]
@Yasin: SubhanaAllah, i was discussing that Hadith with my friend today. Indeed, so true. May Allah protect us from fitna Ameen
@Hilwa: Check :)
@Resurrec: inshaAllah
@Carmes: Sis i live in an islamic country [Abu Dhabi, UAE]. SubhanaAllah sis, my uni offers all types of courses except Islamic. Also sis, we have all types of clubs and classes [chinese, Japanese, French, spanish etc] except Quran. My friends are planning to open an Islamic club, but most girls told us that the university will not allow. SubhanaAllah :(
@Freespeech:I have soooo much to say, but i'll refrain.
Qur'an [25:63]
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,

Assalam Alaikum dear sister. The Arabs should take a good look at what they were before Islam. Then look at what they were when they pledged to Muhammad saws that he was the Messenger of Allah swt. Then what happened to them at every instance they went away from Islam - till they became humiliated as they were before Islam.
And not just for the Arabs - but every nation should look at what they were when they followed the truth from God, and what they were before and after.
9:97. The bedouins are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to be in ignorance of the limits (Allâh's Commandments and His Legal Laws, etc.) which Allâh has revealed to His Messenger. And Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise.
Ibn Katheer rahimahullah said : "Allah states that there are disbelievers, hypocrites and believers among the bedouins. He also states that the disbelief and hypocrisy of the bedouins is worse and deeper than the disbelief and hypocrisy of others." He also recorded this hadith where the Prophet saws said : مَنْ سَكَنَ الْبَادِيَةَ جَفَا، وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ الصَّيْدَ غَفَلَ، وَمَنْ أَتَى السُّلْطَانَ افْتُتِن (He who lives in the desert becomes hard-hearted, he who follows the game becomes heedless, and he who associates with the rulers falls into Fitnah.) Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i collected this Hadith. At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Gharib.''
> "My friends are planning to open an Islamic club, but most girls told us that the university will not allow." - Sister, this really needs to happen. InshaAllah we will hear the good news soon....even many/all nonmuslim countries' uni's have muslim student unions, and like. SubhanAllah. How sad that the brothers and sisters at your uni are unable to have enough strength to have something like this.... very shameful.

Wa alaikum assalam
Yes indeed this is across the board in many societies. I cannot tell you why people hate the truth as each individual is like a fingerprint. All I can do in response to your question >> "What's happening to this Ummah?" is remind you of what the Prophet (peace be upon him) said...
"Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers"

The western society is to blame nowadays Muslims are ashamed because when Islam is mentioned, what comes to mind ? Terrorism and extremism. Today's Muslims are slaves to fashion and clothes, thus forgetting who they really are. The west don't like Islam but this is such a religion that is rapidly growing.
Can u please let me read your article? Thanks

Just in the Quraan....how many other verses that Allah subhana wa ta'alaa warns us against this life and being deceived by the life of this world. And it is blameworthy, and how quickly its days and its months and its nights and years will be folded up. And Allah subhana wa ta'alaa has given many examples to us. Yet one of them will be enough. One ayaat will be enough for anyone who has a real heart and pays attention when the statements of Allah are presented to him.
And the dunyah itself, it shouldnt be blamed. We shouldnt blame the dunyah in itself. Rather this dunyah is nothing but a bridge. Nothing but a bridge that leads to either the Jannah - paradise, or leads to the hellfire. Rather that which is blameworthy and considered blameworthy are the actions of the people in it. Those servants who their lusts and their desires turns them away from the remembrance of Allah. This dunyah is a place where everyone of us should take enough provisions that will benefit him on yawm al kiyamah. The provisions that will lead him to al Jannah. Indeed the best thing that may happen to you in the Jannah is the reward of your actions on this earth.
Ibn al Qayyim has said that Allah has created wealth and property so that the person should take them and indeed they will be saved for trial and a test for the people on earth. Allah didnt just send wealth to this dunyah so we can take it and enjoy it and have a life of luxury. O servants. You know that youre going to die one day. Your going to pass by the trials of the grave. Your going to stand in front of your Lord in account of your actions. You know the seerat, the bridge over the hellfire is waiting for us all. And how indeed, knowing all of this, how can it be possible that many of us choose the life of this world over that with Allah subhana wa ta'alaa in the hereafter? How is it that your wealth and property, your family members have turned you away from the remembrance of Allah? You live as if Allah has allowed you to live 50 years, 100 years, more or less. Gather al you can from this wealth, from this dunyah, gather all you can. Strive hard and get all that you can. But you should remember that you will leave one day. When you're time comes, you will leave this dunyah. And the things you have in your hand will not go with you. the only thing you will have is your deeds.
And remember when you came to this dunyah , you didnt come with any clothes. No car, no properties, no job, no friends. You came with nothing to this dunyah. The first moment you came into this dunyah, you came with NOTHING. And you will leave this dunyah with NOTHING. We have never heard of anyone when he died that they buried his stuff with him in his grave, you leave everything behind. As Allah subhana wa ta'laa said in Suratul An'am :
وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَادَى كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَاء ظُهُورِكُمْ
" And truly you have come unto Us alone (without wealth, companions or anything else) as We created you the first time. You have left behind you all that we have bestowed upon you."
