You may not be aware that the moderators on this site are the USERS - people like you and me. If you see answers that are violations, report them. THAT is how they get removed. THAT is how people who are getting TC badges by posting bad answers - will get suspended. If enough people report something, it gets removed. Including 'non-answers' like "google it". The staff is small, limited and does not get actively involved in moderation until and unless an appeal is filed.

As to the TC badge, it is given out by a number-crunching program. If a person has the right stats, they get the badge, even if the "Best Answers" they are giving - are not really all that good. Again, that is why you have to report those types of answers. Because they drag down the site for everybody. But if you don't report, it will only continue.

This site is for people who are seeking information so telling someone to just google it would be inappropriate and a violation. I know some of these questions can bring the worst out of a person, myself included, but the fact remains, what you wrote is a violation. The rules apply to everyone even with a badge under their name. If someone doesn't answer your question then report them. Remember, just because you got reported doesn't mean it's a violation you have an option to appeal. I received numerous violations and only lost 1, but it was a violation.
