At first I took it as she left, then I started to think she died. The thing is though I really think she left. I mean he is talking to her.

I used to be stressed the first time i heard this song too. However i acquired to serious about it someday, and it hit me. & then after that i visible the song video & i was proper. -in the video, the girl, dies in a car accident. So what he is saying is he can love her in all of those specific approaches, but he are not able to love her back to life. So it doesn't matter what he does and the way much he loves her, it will not trade what happened and the way matters at the moment are.
