Wisconsin senate democrats... are they domestic terrorists?
Since Wisconsin Democratic Senators Whyne, Crye, Blocke, Tantrum, Runn, Hyde, and Cowher have abdicated their responsibilities as elected officials, shouldn't we label them as domestic terrorists for hijacking democracy?
Or at the very least, give them a basic lessons in Civics 101, to include the radical notion that "democracy" is a very poor mechanism to implement minority rule. Wasn't it their hero Obama who said elections have consequences?
Bulldog - the answer to that is hide first, and if that didn't work, THEN surrender... as long as the conquering army had collective bargaining rights.
Hey Nostradumbass, fillibustering is a legitimate tool that both parties built into their rule system for conducting business, and that both parties quite liberally use. And furthermore, to use this tool, you have to BE IN THE ROOM, PARTICIPATING IN THE DEBATE. You can't call it abuse when it's part of the rule system! If you were to ask either party whether they would support getting rid of fillibusters, both of them would tell you HELL NO.
What the Wisconsin dumbocrats are doing is nothing short of a complete abdication of their duties as elected officials. It's minority rule... antidemocratic... They should be made examples of.

no, they are not.
missing votes and being absent for votes is not illegal or even remotely regulated.
and this is no more domestic terrorism than republican lawmakers using the filibuster to stop a good deal of very good legislation from ever coming to law - all done from the minority.
what kills me, is that republicans were PROUD of this extremely UN democratic abuse of the system.
don't now whine when the opposition does something similar.

the over use of words cheapens them, soon it will be anyone who gives a funny look will be a "terrorist"!
