Help with a haiku supposed to be written in Japanese?
Hi, I was just wondering if you guys have any tips about writing a haiku (in Japanese). I'm supposed to write about the seasons for my homework, but I don't very many descriptive Japanese words about the seasons.
Thank you.

Haikus do not focus on descriptive words like poetry in the West. Haiku writing uses more subtle hints, such as this famous haiku by Bashou:
Iza saraba
Yukimi ni korobu
Tokoromade
translated to meaning:
Now then, let's go out
To enjoy the snow... until
I slip and fall!
Not very flowery now, is it? But it gives you a good idea of the winter season regardless! So think more along those lines. Adjectives aren't the only thing you can use. Use sound effects, nouns, verbs... ANYTHING is okay.

A conventional Japanese Haiku is to have five,7,five (syllables). Most haiku's are approximately seasons, however they don't state the season. They deliver recommendations via describing the elements, crops, and routine. It turns out like your identify is to your first line. Your haiku is not conventional, and does not make so much feel on the moment and primary line.
