How long will puberty last?

Also how long will I have these mood swings? I've been having some depression starting this school year. I'm 14. I think I started.... 12? I truly don't care about the other stuff. I just care about these mood swings. I learned to cope with them and to ignore what i thought when I was depressed afterwards. They are just really annoying.

Hang in there, Bubba. You are right in the middle of puberty & your male hormones are raging from one end of the spectrum to the other, trying to figure out where to settle down. This causes many issues for male teens in puberty - like stress, anxiety, depression, attitudes, mood swings, fear, doubt, animosity, anger, increased appetite, loss of appetite, excess energy, lack of energy, fatigue, lack of concentration, retention of what you've studied in school, issues with buddies or girls, issues with parents or sibling, unexpected or unexplained sexual arousals, etc., just to mention a few things. Most guys handle these issues reasonably well - some do not - and must learn to deal with them in a positive manner.

You won't finish puberty until at least age 21 - or later.

it wont even START to let up until 16 dude even then you will still have them until like 20 or so. everyones different though you can be done by 16 but most likely not. eat and sleep healthy will help mood swings. your a guy and as iv seen its alot easier for us guys as far as mood swings and depression. But hey its not all bad, hormones make kissing and sex so enjoyable.

Source(s): im 17 i have ups and downs at least 2 times a week.

Guys have hormonal imbalances same as girls during puberty. As it is, keep your chin up we all go through them it gets better once your hormones balance out which shouldnt take more then a few more years just learn to step away
