Is there a band you used to hate but eventually grew to love?
Which of your favorite bands did you completely dislike when you were first introduced to them? Back in '96, I was still riding the end of the grunge scene. When 311 and Korn first started getting big, I thought both bands were the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard. But after their initial popularity died down, I somehow grew to love them and now I own all their albums.
Beatle Fanatic - Good to see you as well! I pop on here once in a great while, but usually leave discouraged when I see nothing but goofy questions asked by 12-year-olds. Nice to see a familiar face for a change.

The Grateful Dead. When I 1st saw them in concert, I thought they sucked. Even I can't believe that I just said this. I really did come to love their music ;)

plenty, i in no way used to work out the think approximately heavy metallic. i became into like 'that is basically shouting right into a microphone' so hated bands like 36 Crazyfists yet now i see the keenness, the emotion and the musicalness of it... i basically love em... Emo Screamo Heavy metallic rcoks!... i did a similar with Nirvana, i might walk out the room while they got here on as quickly as I have been youthful yet now... love 'em.

I can't really think of any bands like that. Normally my thoughts on certain bands/artists go the opposite way. Think it's great to"my ears hurt."
If I had to name one I would say Mewithoutyou. Not that I didn't like the band in the beginning, I was indifferent. I'd never really heard anything like it before. Now I would call them one of my favorites.

I couldn't stand The Who the first few times I heard them on the radio, but now I'm a big fan, and I think their music is great.

GK, Long time since I've seen you on here!
(It's why I never delete my old contacts, lol)
Happy to see you back.
I hated Tool's first album "Undertow" when it came out, which was during the height of Grunge, and couldn't get into their music at all.
But when their second album "Aenima" came out 3 years later I was hooked and now I also love "Undertow".
I guess it's true what they say, "Timing is everything".
