How easy is it to find parts for a 93 Nissan 240 Convertible?

What are the most desirable parts people need when repairing or restoring these cars? Also what are the going prices for certain parts such as doors, wheels, glass, etc. Thanks for your help.

Very difficult to find stock replacement parts. Well, in decent shape at least. OEM and JDM aftermarket parts are very easy to find though. For the wheels, I would get a set of light aftermarket wheels instead of stock. The weight cutting and reduction in rolling resistance will improve both performance and fuel economy and they look great too. Look to spend between $1000 and $3000 on a decent set of wheels, excluding tires.

I think your best bet for random odds and ends like doors would be to search craigslist and Nissan forums for cars that are being parted out or buy an entire one cheap with a broken engine or tranny. That way you have parts laying around for whatever comes up. If worst comes to worst, the Nissan dealer should be able to order them for you but they will rip you off big time.

Depending on what you decide to spend, you can get a lot of really nice JDM parts and have a fantastic looking car when you finish. The price of the car and the rest of the project should be way cheaper than the cost of even a new Sentra so nothing real bad. Sorry I can't give you exact figures. I have a 300ZX and parts are hard to find also but JDM parts are a couple hundred dollars for things like stainless steel performance mufflers and OEM body panels. I do most of my work myself so it is very reasonable without the labor costs added. I hope this helps :)

To illustrate my point about buying a beater, I am trying to replace body panels because some idiots took a ball peen hammer to it when the previous owner had it. I was offered a whole 300ZX minus the engine, tranny and seats for $700. Probably would have bought it but I have a rare color and of course, it didn't match. I can always buy new panels if I am going to have to re-paint it anyway :(

First off your going to try to find parts for an aftermarket roof cut off car. Very rare there were only a few thousand ever made. I am not as optimistic as the other answerer. Good Luck

parts are pretty readily available since they are modified as street race cars alot the most desirable part is probably the rear differential from the later SE model that has a limited slip setup other than that i suppose the convertible top because it is probably old and ragged other than that their are a billion of replacement oem and aftermarket parts for them.
