Atheists: what would we talk about?

I'm not trolling, check my answers to prove it.

If we had our own section, what would we talk about? What would our questions be like? I can think of a whole load of things that I think we'd all be interested by so I look forward to the day when we do have our own area; I'll still come here because it's fun, but I guess its hard to imagine r&s without us.

    We Could-

Discuss effective ways to stop religion, before it could possibly kill the human race!

Discuss ways of getting politicians to pass laws that don't favor religious stupidity!

Discuss ways of educating people about how religion is nonsense!

Discuss ways of using media and multi-media to educate people!

Discuss ways of advertising, with ads that expose the absurdity of religion, etc, etc......

You gotta understand that religion is massively united and organized!! So you need something that's massively united and organized to effectively combat religion in a timely manner! If atheists don't organize and unite, it will take much, much, much, much, much longer to wipe out religion!!!

    Logic.

If to create an action from a calculated decision to make a decision, we have to "make a decision to make a decision," then doesn't that mean that going backward in the thought process to create physical action from a decision, we would have to have an infinite backward progressions of "to make a decision we have to make a decision to make a decision, and on and on it goes...(pause) ?

...doesn't that mean that there must be a "mind" floating maybe an angstrom above the brain tissue that "decides" and "controls" the physical action of the brain itself? That perhaps the brain starts out just a brain, but as we grow older, it produces a ghostly "mind" that is calculably separate from the rest of the body in a very profound way?

What is the logic flaw in this argument? Doesn't the experience of your (and my) being show us that something about our personality is "separate" from the physical?

I believe there is an atheist museum in France, and different types of "atheism" provide much conversational material. For instance, is the Charvaka philosophy of ancient India the first systematisation of atheist thought? There are as many different types of atheists as there are different types of religious belief since each individual is different. Maoism (atheist) is a world apart from Extropianism, for example.

Probably the same topics discussed here.

If we had our own category it would be the only one arranged by user and not topic. The churchies have a problem understanding the nature of the forum as it is,let's not muddy the waters further.

We might just be critical of the most recent creationist ideas and theories. May also talk a lot about The Flying Spaghetti Monster praise His name!

honestly, i dont know, i dont think it would be a useful idea

atheist is a position on the subjects here, and its why we are all here, otherwise wed be in other sections

so i dont see any point in having an 'atheist' section to be honest

    ;-)

Nothing would be appropriate. Atheism is the lack of belief. After we establish we don't believe in God then there is no other questions, because they belong in other categories.

We could talk about stuff that relates to reality and not a fantasy world.

R&S would die without us... then again, if we left who would educate the Christians about their Bible?

Considering none of them even seem to read it.
