I have been to a baby shower every weekend for the past 3 months no joke. Not to mention hosted 3.

The very best gift is to ask the mother to be if she has a baby registry. She will either reply no or she will say yes Im registered at Walmart, babies r us, or etc.... baby registrys are awesome it is a list made by the parents in advance of the shower of all their wants and needs.

You can log on to the website of the store the person gives you and go to baby registry or go to the store and ask the store to print you a copy off. It will show you all items and what has done been bought so be sure not to buy whats been bought.

If you don't want to go this route perfect gifts are

*the biggest pack of newborn diapers you can find "they can never have enough diapers"

*gift sets that include lotion, bath wash, and destin "they come in seveal different sizes"

*gift card to babies r us, walmart, baby supermall, the childrens place, babygap, any baby store

* newborn clothing for the boy or girl

Onesies are a common gift, so don't even think about it. If they have lots of friends, don't worry about clothes either. Diapers are always welcome, they cost lots!! If you are still unsure, ask the mom where she is registered. Then go to the customer service counter at that store or on the store's website to see what Mom has chosen for her baby. You should find your answer there. Usually they register for baby bedding, monitors, bath accessories, bottles, you name it. Make sure you mention to the cashier it's on her registry so no one else will get the same thing. If still in doubt, a gift card and diapers always is thoughtful. Did that help?
