Which stage of formula milk should I use?
My little one is eight months old and has been exclusively breastfed until now (she's had some pureed fruit since she was six months old) but I'd like to try and start to wean her from the breast now. I'm just not sure what stage of formula milk she should have. I'm going to use Cow and Gate but can anybody tell me which stage to use. I have tried expressing but I really can't get enough to fill a bottle. Please don't say I should just keep breastfeeding her until she's a year old then she can have cow's milk, I think I've down okay by her breastfeeding her til now, just want some advice on formula milk! Thank you!

Stage 3 is from 6 months as it is a follow on milk - the stage 1 and 2 milks are for when baby is being exclusively bottle fed and stage 3 is for when baby starts to eat foods.
Ask your healthvisitor for her advice - mine has been great.

Go for the stage 1 formulas. Stage 2 are never recomended by midwifes because they have too much protein in. Stage 1 is very similar to breast milk so use that till your little one can have adult milks (cows, soya etc)

try with stage 1 as you would a newborn as she still needs to get used to it from scratch as its different to breastmilk, if she doesnt get satisfied on that then swap to stage 2. stage 3 is from 1 year + so shes not old enough for that jsut yet.

My son is almost six months and is on the one for 6months plus (for babies eating solids) - it has extra iron and calcium). But if your baby is 8 months, maybe just try regular whole milk, she can have it from 9 months anyway.
