What do you think of the revamped American Idol show?

I actually think it's really really strong! I think the show feels a lot more fun and lighter -- the sob stories wrecked the auditions in my opinion, but very very few of those made it to the live shows, which is very awesome.

I wish the old Top 24 format would've stayed cause I think a lot of good people went home in that huge chunk cut from 24 to 13. BUT, I think this is one of the strongest groups of contestants in years.

The judges are great -- I've always liked Jennifer, Randy is a lot better, and Steven is the best. I liked all of the other judges (even Ellen and Kara), but Simon's routine is so old hat. I watch X Factor UK and Idol and, while he is funny sometimes, it's just him being the same cranky guy here and over there; his remarks are reused over and over again; the blunt thing is out. It got old for me and these judges are a complete breath of fresh air.

I'm loving it. Totally lovin' it.

It's time to have some judges who can really sing. I would love to see Aerosmith and JLo perform in the finale with the contestants. That would be awesome!
