Why do I notified 2 years later that my answer was chosen as "baest answer"?

what happens the question goes to a vote and it ends with no votes or in a tie after the voting period of 2 days and it stays that way until it is broken and sometimes it does take a while for that to happen

That's a record. about six months or so is the longest I've had to wait.

But I can tell you what happened, every now and then their buffer gets full of old questions that only one person answered and the questioner didn't like the answer so they didn't select it as best. If you'll notice on at least some of them, you were the only respondent so to clean out the proverbial pipes, they picked whoever bothered to answer the question, right or wrong.

It isn't an issue, and yes, it has happened to me before. (not 2 years, but a long period)

You see -- those questions are in 'Tiebreaker mode'. Tiebreaker mode is when a question is in voting and either no votes were submitted or two or more answers have the same amount of votes.
