Should i tell my mom i have detention?
Please don't answer this question if you are the kind of person who doesn't mind lying to their parents. because i do. I would not be lying - I have rehearsal for theater that same day, so i could just tell my parents i have to go to rehearsal - i will after detention is over. But i don't know whether or not to just tell them that i got detention. Last time i got it my mom was really disappointed with me - and that was the first time i had ever gotten detention, and i hardly ever get detention. now that i am getting a second detention just 2 months after the first, i think she will be extremely disappointed. So i can just not tell her - but do you think that is immoral?

She can find out anyway so if you don't tell her you can say bye-bye to trust.

tell her. the only way your parents can help you is if they know whats going on. if you keep hiding things your not proud of how can your parents be there in the bad times as well as the good so that you can rise above the not proudest moments and get to the moments where they know exactly who you are and are proud of how youve dealt with getting detention and show you are responsible. you seem like a really good kid. it's just detention. Tell your parents you got detention, go to detention, and try do the right thing to not get into detention again. Detention will be the least of your worries in the end i promise you. It's mostly about whether at the end of the day you can be proud of yourself and love yourself and give yourself the best possible future you can. Your parents can only do so much. They want to be able to do it all for you cos they love you but they can only do so much to get you to your happy place. good luck.

Tell your mom. Yes, she might be disappointed but she loves you. Remember, one lying and lead to many, many more. Honesty is always the best answer

Not telling her...
Immoral? yes.
Smart? also yes.
What your mom doesn't know won't hurt her. If you can get away without telling, her then don't tell her.
