Just take out the piercing for a few hours and put it right back in after the interview.
Wear a blouse and nice khaki slacks with leather shoes.
Good luck.

Based on folks I've seen working at big bookstores, I'm sure they'd be okay with the eyebrow thing, but I agree with Johnny, and would take it out for the interview, just in case. Slacks and a nice blouse, little makeup, no perfume, make good eye contact, have a firm handshake, and smile as much as possible because all of that shows confidence, maturity, and competence. The rule of thumb is to dress for one position above the one you're applying for, so don't wear what you see people who are currently working in the store do, but something a little nicer. Be yourself during the interview and try to relax, though both you and the person conducting it know it's an unnatural situation. Maintain eye contact and answer every question truthfully and briefly without rambling on or getting off the subject. Every question is an opportunity for you to show how smart, funny, dedicated to customer service, and fostering repeat business you are. Never say anything negative about anything during a job interview and emphasize the positive aspects of your personality. Try not to fidget or fool with your hair, but keep your hands still, and have an open posture, which will also demonstrate self confidence.
Don't forget to smile because it's a customer service position and you want them to see how great you'll be as part of their team. Actually, even if it wasn't a customer service position, I've gotten several jobs by smiling a lot and making the interviewer relax and take me into their confidence. And thank everyone you speak to for their time when you leave so the last impression they have is a positive one. I've also gotten a couple of jobs by being nice to the receptionist because they are the person the boss probably trusts the most and if it's between you and another candidate, they might be the deciding factor. Plus, it's good manners, and your mom would be proud.
Good luck. I think you'll do fine.
