is smoking out of a bong illegal?

The drug she smoked, salvia, is legal in california, where she lives. It is illegal in many states. In some states smoking devices such as bongs are illegal to sell but I don't think that anwhere are they illegal to possess.

Smoking out of a bong is not illegal, neither is salvia in some places. I think some towns and or states might have ordinances against selling certain smoking devices, but I do not think it is illega to posess any so long as you are only smoking legal substances out of it, ie tobacco.

It only becomes illegal if a person is smoking an illegal drug. Bongs (and pipes and all that) are legal because people can smoke tobacco out of them.

hell no its no longer unlawful, how could pipe shops stay in business enterprise?they sell pipes, bongs, bubblers, each thing. its no longer paraphernalia, till it have lines of marijuana resin in them. you're able to correctly be seen in public with a clean bong that hasnt been smoked out of yet, and you wont get introuble. yet as quickly as you have smoked weed out of it, and it has resin in it, it counts as drug paraphernalia.

I'm guessing it depends on what exactly you are smoking out of it. And also law may change from state to state
