How can I teach my Am Bully to not play with her mouth open?
She does well with not mouthing people, yet when she gets excited and runs around, she will do so with her mouth open. This leads to contact with her teeth, mostly incidental due to her running with an open mouth. She is 10 months old, I have never seen an ounce of aggression from her - be it HA or DA. I need to teach her that she isn't pocket-size any more, and she cannot be playing as so. Suggestions?

Since American Bullies have short pushed in snouts, she most likely needs to open her mouth when playing in order to breath better. Having an open mouth is not a sign of aggession. It's usually a sign that breathing soley thru the nose isn't enough.

Since she's only 10 months I wouldn't worry about it so much. She's probably panting while shes running, a lot of dogs do, and since she's so young she doesn't realize that she's accidentally hitting things with her teeth. As she gets older she'll learn to control it a little bit and it should stop over time. Running with her mouth open isn't a sign of aggression, but if she seems to be uncomfortable or in pain when she does this, take her to the vet. She'll grow out of it.
