Ah, The United States, that country that everyone hates, and where everyone wants to live.

  • Since illegally "hired" people are usually poor or isolated socially/linguistically, typically, the corporate excuse works every time, "we didn't know or their papers were false and we couldn't do an adequate background check because they're foreigners to begin with".

The way immigration laws are selectively "enforced", it's not surprising that exploited illegally hired labor are typically, the only persons being held accountable for the illegal hiring practices of their American employers.

Remember that those in positions of wealth/power are not held to the same definition of the rule of law, that the poor/working class are consistently held to the letter of.

It was obvious before studies were done, that there are two systems of justice in this country, the special get out of trouble wealth hoarders free pass from judicial accountability and the throw the book at them, have-nots of the working class.

If we want to end illegal Immigration the best way to do it is to focus on employers. Otherwise all we're doing is racial profiling and harassing people. Businesses hire illegal workers so they can pay them less, keep them scared and they never call the labor board. The government ignores that, because they know that illegals keep the cost of food, clothing and other services down. It's dishonest and immoral to attract an underclass or "working slaves" that have to live in the dark to serve US, but are treated like scum. The employers are the real problem and they've been getting a free ride. We should have an honest policy.

They are as criminal as the illegal aliens they employ.

We need to send the IRS in with the INS.

They should be fined $25000 for each illegal they employ. The illegals should then be arrested, fined, and deported.

On the second offense, the fine goes up to $50000 per illegal.

I moved to Nicaragua and hire employees for 150 per month. Actually 145. If somebody has the guts to hire them in the USA that is one more job in the USA, but they are wasting money and should just move the job off shore and obey the law. It is impossible to punish a corporation and their officers are untouchable.

I saw a construction manager get hauled off a site by ICE, and he was fined $110,000 for each illegal alien he had working on the site. The illegals were on scaffolding 40 feet above the ground, no harnesses, and no papers.

There were 13 illegal aliens on that site that were taken into custody.

yes they are. not to mention, they're horrible people for exploiting the illegal aliens.

but all in all, even with the incredibly low pay they give them, the alien is still making ten times as much as they would in their native country.

yes, if they knowingly hire iligal immigrants, the company and the HR director should face criminal sanctions.

The problem being, illegal immigrants can buy fake drivers license and SS cards for $400

And then its next to impossible for the company to find out they are illegal.

I think prison sentences on repeat offenders are needed, after a first round of fines. I also favor offering bounties for people who turn them in.
